Mancat Monday

Happy Monday, furriends! This picture popped up in mom's phone flashback, so naturally she couldn't wait to show me in a less than flattering pose. Again. Seriously, do hoomins go to special conferences to learn this stuff or what??

Anyway, it did remind me of a time when I had more teefs. Mostly I don't miss them, but I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my tongue some days. Mom has informed me on occasion that my tongue is kinda sticking out... Not doing anything, just being visible to the world.

The last few weeks have been medically rough. Leia's ear infection, and when she went back for the recheck, a UTI was found. My mouth healed well, but now the vet thinks I may have IBS. My litterbox output isn't.. umm... As solid as it could be. And mom has really had to scramble to get both of us to eat enough; Leia lost 4 ounces in two weeks, and we all know that girl just didn't have much to lose in the first place!

But things seem better now, so we hope the worst is behind us.

I'll close with another flashback...

  3. OH my word I hear you on the weight thing. There were years and years my vet wanted me to stay at 10 and it was hard some years I was 11 or 11.5 ...then when I got sick back last summer that weight came off fast ....to fast. And it is really hard to gain it back when you have tummy issues. Sending loads of hugs and kitty kisses and TOBY you look very handsome w/ or w/o toofers

  7. Oh, poor Toby! We are hoping that your 'output' gets back to normal! Cats with their tongues out is a super squee-worthy photo-op for us humans...we call it a blep, and are crazy, crazy for them!

  12. Oh dear, none of that sounds very fun, either for you kids or your mom. We hope these problems are really just fleeting things!

  13. Toby, if it's any consolation, I think you look wonderful! Moms do love the awkward photos, though. I wonder if pumpkin would help. It helps a lot of kitties' tummies, whether for diarrhea or constipation. I'm sorry you two have had such a rough time. I sure hope you gain weight and continue to feel better!

  18. We had no idea you both were struggling so much! Let your Mom know that if she ever wants to talk ... or e-mail ... or whatever, I'd enjoy that. I was sure Ellie had IBS too - for MONTHS she had bloody diarrhea. She'd had worms - so the vet told us it was just because of that - but after 4 months of bloody poop, I was a wreck. I had $500 worth of tests done on her. Then it just stopped one day. It's so hard to be patient when we perceive our furbaby is suffering.
ps - Super handsome as always, Toby!
